Administrative Manger

Having worked at the shelter for 12 years, Rose is the heart and soul of Homeward Bound. While her job consists of bills, payroll, and human resources, she’s also the general cheerleader of shelter activities. She deftly handles day-to-day challenges with wisdom, humor, and kitten snuggles.

Rose has 7 amazing grandbabies and one wonderful pup, Rosco.

Shawna Donahue x112

Lifesaving Programs Manager

Shawna has always been passionate about animal welfare and with 3+ years of animal welfare work, it seems as though all manner of wildlife know it!

It’s not uncommon for her to show up with an injured blue jay, an abandoned baby bunny, or an ornery feral cat. She currently has one dog, four cats, three rabbits and two hamsters – all of which are rescues!

Clinic Manager

Our Clinic Manager, Val, has more than 30 years of experience working in shelter medicine! She started her career as an emergency vet tech in Clementon and decided her talents were best spent caring for sick and at-risk animals.

When not coordinating medical staff or handling emergency cases, Val can be found enjoying her grandson and granddaughter, 3 cats and 2 dogs.

Lauren Gravino

Wellness Manager

Having worked in animal welfare for almost 7 years, Lauren most recently put her talents to good use as our new Medical Team Lead! She is responsible for ensuring that all shelter medications and treatment plans are being followed for in-house and fostered animals. Her nurturing personality makes her a perfect mentor for many of our shelter employees who are looking to grow in their knowledge of shelter medicine!

She has 4 dogs and a rotating roster of cats, all proudly foster failed through HBPAC. Check back during kitten season to see how many CH kitties she’s brought into the fold!
